On Friday evening July 23rd  Lieutenant Steven N. Costello,
  was found by the members of his fire crew in cardiac arrest.
Firefighters initiated resuscitation and transported him to the hospital.
In the Emergency Department, Lieutenant Costello
regained his pulse and after further medical interventions, was
admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.

On Friday morning July 30, 2010, Lieutenant Steven N. Costello
succumbed to complications from cardiac arrest, in spite of the valiant
efforts of Steve, his family and his medical team. The family wishes
to express their heartfelt appreciation for the care given to Steve
 and the tremendous outpouring of support for his family.
